Colorized Sub-aperture Imagery automatically produced for Spotlight Ultra collection
Colorized sub-aperture imagery (CSI) is now delivered with each new tasking request for a Spotlight Ultra collection type. This 3-band detected image is created from progressively colorizing each sub-aperture of a Spotlight Ultra collect and is useful for accentuating manmade objects, especially those obscured by vegetation, angular features, and objects in motion. CSI is delivered in a GeoTIFF and SIDD format.
Historic CSI products can be found in the archive by filtering a search to either the Capella-CSI or Capella-CSIDD collections or specifying the product type as CSI or CSIDD.
More information about CSI can found in the CSI section of the Capella support site. If a user would like CSI generated for a historic image, please email support@capellaspace.com.
Removal of minimum acquisition windows for collection tiers
The minimum acquisition windows for the Urgent, Priority, and Standard collection tiers have been removed. Users can now submit the acquisition window of their choosing, enabling them to target specific collections times for anticipate events or provide the Scheduler with a clearer identification of task importance within a large tasking deck.
In Console, the default window for all collection tiers will be set to 24 hours for a point task. The default for area (polygon) tasks remains 30 days. However, users can specify a Window Close date shorter than 24 hours for any collection tier and for single point or polygon tasking requests. Mission Awareness has also been updated to automatically show 14 days, up from 7 days. API users must update their workflows to provide the windowClose when submitting a tasking request.
