Repeat tasking allows you to automate your workflows to easily monitor any point target on the planet in a few simple steps:
- Define your target
- Set the repeat cycle
- Set the duration
- Pick your Collection Type
- Set any optional parameters
The Capella tasking system will do the heavy lifting of automatically planning and scheduling out a series of tasks, completing the collects, and making data available when ready.
Define your target
A repeat task can be created for any point target on the planet between +87.4°N and -87.4°S. Currently, repeat tasking is not available for polygon-based area collections.
Set the repeat cycle
The repeat cycle refers to how often we will image your chosen location. The Capella Console provides the following pre-set options:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Bi-Weekly
- Monthly
Additionally, you can set your own repeat cycle, in number of days, using the Other option in Console or via the Capella API.
Set the duration
The duration sets how long your repeat tasking series will last. It can begin now (ASAP) or at any point in the future. The repeat task series can end in the following ways:
- Until canceled (indefinite)
- Date & time
- Number of collects
Pick your Collection Type
Repeat tasking is available for all collection types:
- Spotlight Ultra
- Spotlight
- Spotlight Wide
- Stripmap - 20
- Stripmap - 50
- Stripmap - 100
Set any optional parameters
Depending on the repeat cycle selected, certain additional optional parameters will be available as they are for single tasking requests. For Bi-Weekly, Monthly, and custom repeat cycles you can also choose to maintain scene framing, which will result in a stack of collects with the same look direction, orbit state, orbit plane, and be within a specified look angle tolerance from the first collect.
