Planned Maintenance - June 23rd, 2021

Capella Space will be performing software updates to a satellite in our SAR satellite constellation. These software updates contain changes to improve system performance, increase system reliability, and address various bug fixes.

 

Components

Capella-2 will be put into a maintenance mode from 1500 UTC June 23 to 0100 June 24 (0800 PT to 1800 PT June 23) where it will not be available to service tasking requests.

 

Expected Impact

During the maintenance window the spacecraft will be prevented from servicing tasking requests during this period. No outstanding requests will be assigned to the vehicle and no new requests will be assigned to the vehicle during this period. The overall affect will just be a slight reduction in constellation collection capacity during the maintenance period.

 

Schedule

The maintenance is scheduled from 8am PT to 6pm PT (3pm UTC - 1am UTC+1) and will affect only Capella-2. If the maintenance is completed as head of schedule this post will be updated and the spacecraft will be released based to commercial operations ahead of schedule.

 

Updates

June 23, 1645 UTC:  In running preparations for our scheduled maintenance it was decided to delay the implementation on Capella-2 to better ensure system reliability and constellation availability. Other scheduled maintenance will continue as planned and Capella-2 maintenance will be rescheduled at a later date.
