A new Vessel Classification analytic can be ordered using an existing image in the Capella archive through the Capella Console.
1. Draw search box on the map and search the results for an image of interest
2. Select the desired image and click Add to Cart
3. Click the cart icon in the upper right corner
4. On the side panel, select Add Product
5. Select Vessel Classification by clicking the plus sign
6. Click the Review Order button
7. Click the Submit New Order button
Note: If the SICD product type is not included in the Cart, it will be added automatically because the SICD format is required to run the vessel classification algorithm. The inclusion of this product type not impact the cost as the cost for the source imagery is determined at the Collect level, not the individual product format level.
8. Vessel Classification will now be generated on the selected image
The creation of a new Vessel Classification analytic is performed on demand and requires some time for processing. The order will initially appear with a status of In Progress and a note that Assets are being prepared will display in the ASSET DOWNLOADS section of the page.
Once complete, the Order status will appear as completed, and links to download the analytic product data files will appear in the ASSET DOWNLOADS section of the page.
Email Notifications
Because the creation of a NEW Vessel Detection analytic product is performed on demand and requires some time for processing, email notifications are included for these orders. Modeled after the same workflow as a new tasking request, orders that include a NEW Vessel Detection analytic product from an archive image trigger an email to the user when the order is received and when the order is complete. If there is an error in creation of the Vessel Detection analytic product, an email message is sent with the necessary details.
