Capella Space uses OpenStreetMap (OSM) Water Layer to create land masks for filtering Vessel Detections over land masses.
Attribution:
Capella Space Land & Water Masks are a modified version of the OpenStreetMap (OSM) Water Layer Rasterized GeoTiff Map
. The original OSM Water Layer is available for download at IIS U-Tokyo webpage: http://hydro.iis.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~yamadai/OSM_water/. The rasterized 5 degree tile maps are available under the CC-BY 4.0
license. To view a copy of this license, please visit: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/. The Capella Space Land & Water Masks are a reprocessed version of the OSM Water Layer. Reprocessing involves removing small streams and channels and expanding the water areas near land so ports are not masked out. We distribute the Capella Space Land and Water mask that intersects with the image that Vessel Detection
is run on.
