Capella Space has a constellation of multiple SAR satellites in a mix of mid-inclination (MIO) and sun-synchronous (SSO) orbits, setting the latitude range that can be imaged by any given satellite.
The available imaging latitudes for satellites of different inclinations are:
Orbital Plane | Latitudes Covered |
44°
|
+48.9°N to -48.9°S |
53° |
+58.3°N to -58.3°S |
97° |
+87.4°N to -87.4°S |
Capella's constellation tasking system automatically manages individual satellite latitude constraints. For a point and area tasking request where the Orbital Plane is not specified, the available imaging latitudes of the entire constellation (currently +87.4°N to -87.4°S) is considered by the new acquisition scheduler.
