Increased look angle ranges
Look angle ranges for all imaging modes (Spotlight, Sliding Spotlight, and Stripmap) have been extended out to 50 degrees, which provides increased access opportunities along with improved ground range resolution.
Product Category look angle ranges are now as follows:
- Standard: 25° - 50°
- Extended: 15° - 50°
- Custom: 5° - 50°
Custom tasking look angle defaults have also been updated in the API and Console to be 5° - 50° from 25° - 40° previously.
Ground range resolution minimums and defaults have also been updated to align with these changes.
Retask an existing image from the archive
When searching the archive, it is now possible to easily retask an existing collection through Console by clicking the Retask button in the bottom right of the Image Details panel.
Clicking on Retask will bring up a new Create New Task page for a single task request with the center point of the image and collection parameters from the original request copied over. The Target Name, Target Description, Window Open, Window Close, and Tasking Tier can be modified.
To make it easier to traceback between the original collection and the new tasking request, the Collect ID is added to the Task Description field. You can also return to the collection in the Catalog by clicking on the hyperlinked Collect ID next to Single Task at the top of the Retask page.
Local target time in Mission Awareness
Satellite access opportunities returned by Mission Awareness can now be displayed in either Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and the local time at the task target location. Switching from UTC to LOCAL will change the date and time display of the access opportunities.
The Window Start and Window Close datetime for both UTC and local time are available in the downloadable CSV file. These values are also available from the Mission Awareness API endpoint.
